Are there any licensing fees after I take the PulsePointe barre Primary Instructor Certification?

No, there are no monthly licensing fees as a PulsePointe barre instructor.

Are there any pre-requisites before taking the PulsePointe barre Primary Instructor Certification?
There are no formal pre-requisites to take our certification. We do strongly encourage instructors to eventually complete their primary group fitness certification to further their knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and enhance their teaching skills as well as obtain a cpr certification.

How long is the training?
The training is a 1 day, 8 hour course accredited through ACE, NASM, and AFAA.

After the 8 hour course, am I officially certified?

Almost! To maintain the integrity of the program and help you grow as an instructor, we ask all course participants to turn in a short video of themselves teaching for evaluation within 90 days of completing the course (there is a $35 evaluation fee). After successfully completing your evaluation, you are a fully certified PulsePointe barre instructor and can use the name and logo to promote your classes.

Once I’m certified, where can I teach?
As a PulsePointe barre instructor, you are free to teach anywhere in the world. You are licensed as an individual, so you are not tied to any studio or restricted to a certain location!

How is the PulsePointe barre method different from other barre certifications?
The PulsePointe barre method integrates traditional muscle-sculpting barre choreography with cardio segments in a functional manner to give you a total body workout. Our strong focus on Pilates based movement principles will help you and your students master proper form and alignment while preventing injuries. Additionally, PulsePointe barre utilizes music to enhance our classes and motivate our students. No more teaching to background music! In our course, you will learn how to use your music to propel your classes to the next level.

We help you create well balanced, functional, and fun classes in no time by utilizing our unique PulsePointe barre blueprint. This helps make class planning a breeze! We also strive to create a community of continous learning for our instructors. As a PulsePointe barre instructor, on-going educational material will be available for you at no extra cost. Finally, PulsePointe barre is in the business of empowering our instructors and our students to reach their fitness goals in a fun, upbeat, and energetic environment! We call it a PARTY AT THE BARRE for a reason!

How can I host a training?
Don't see an upcoming training near you? Contact us at and we can help you setup a training or visit our host page for more information!

What should I bring with me to the certification?
You will receive a comprehensive instructor manual on the day of training. Please bring a pen/pencil, water, snacks, a lunch, and change of clothes as we will be getting sweaty.

After I'm certified, are there any requirements to stay certified?

To help our instructors continously improve their craft, we ask them to recertify every two years. We try to make this as simple and painless as possible by giving you two options for recertification. You can either attend a 2 hour PulsePointe barre continuing education workshop or resubmit a video of yourself teaching for evaluation and feeback.

If I change my mind or a scheduling conflict arrises, can I receive a refund?

You can receive a full refund on your registration up to three weeks prior to the course.
